Changtse and Lho La

Changtse is seen on the left and Mount Everest is seen on the right. Lho La is the mountain pass just in front of Changtse.

Changtse (7550 m) is just north of Mt Everest and is located in Tibet (China). Changtse means north peak in Tibetan. The Tibetans consider this as the north peak of Mt Everest.

Lho La (6006 m) is one of the mountain passes that link Nepal to Tibet. Some traders use this route to bring things to and from Tibet.
